Windsurfing / Board / Kona One (fiber glass with hollow, made in Latvia)
Kona One (fiber glass with hollow, made in Latvia)

The Kona One board has evolved over the years and is available in three variants. There is the Thailand-made original board in fiberglass with a foam core. Then there are two Latvia-made hollow boards where one is made of fiberglass and the other of carbon. It is important to note that the carbon board is not approved according to the current class rules for Kona One. That is, if you intend to participate in a class-approved Kona One regatta, you should have a fiberglass board. The carbon board is both lighter and stiffer in its construction compared to the fiberglass boards, which results in the board navigating and leveling easier than any of the fiberglass boards.

The Kona One board comes with a 65 cm daggerboard, 46 cm fin, and 4 footstraps. Note that mast foot is not included. If you need a mast foot, it is possible to order separately.

Kona One is an international one-of-a-kind class and competitions are arranged in several places in the world. We recommend that you as a Kona One owner are a member of the Kona Club. Meeting and sailing together is learning and fun. Kona One is an inviting community where friendship and an active lifestyle have been culturally rooted since the class started over 15 years ago.

Fin box:

Fin box

"Fin box" refers to the type of fin attachment that the SUP board has. Generally there are two types; slide-in and US box. "Slide-in" means that fins are pushed into the fin box and locked with a pin. These are usually used for simpler board constructions. "US-box" means you can attach most fin models to that fin box by locking them with a screw and nut. Fins with a so-called click function can also be attached to these boxes. No screws or nuts are needed for these.
