After years of testing and development, we can now present the Kona Evolve 3D, the SUP paddle that you can customize to suit you and that matches the quality and function of all our inflatable SUP boards. We realized during our functional tests of inflatable SUP boards that certain types of paddles were more suitable for this type of paddle board, and therefore we have now worked to optimize every little detail of our Evolve paddles so that, just like our boards, they give the right Kona feel .

With a Kona Evolve 3D you get the right conditions to take your SUP paddling to the next level. In order for you to get maximum effect from each paddle stroke, the paddle, just like the board, needs to be adapted to you and your current conditions. That's why we have designed a SUP paddle that enhances the effect of both you and your inflatable paddle board. 

Choose the right SUP paddle – not just the material 

Just because a SUP paddle is made of carbon fiber doesn't necessarily make it a good paddle. Many people make the mistake of buying the first best paddle just because it's made of carbon fiber. In fact, it's the overall properties of the paddle that give you the right effect and experience from your SUP paddling and that's why we developed the Kona Evolve 3D . 

Size matters 

To understand which SUP paddle suits us best, we first need to choose the shaft thickness that suits our hands, then the blade size that we can handle, then the length of the shaft based on our body length, the thickness of the board and the paddling technique that we want to use. Finally, we come to stiffness and weight, and it is only here that the material becomes interesting. The stiffer the paddle, the better the power transfer, and then the material and construction are of great importance. Use our paddle selector to easily choose the right paddle. 

Practical perfection 

The Kona Evolve 3D is divisible into three parts for easy storage and transport with the board in the board backpack. In addition to being available in several different blade sizes, it is also available in two different diameters and shaft lengths, all to ensure that you get a SUP paddle that feels like an extension of your body. 

Delicate details 

The Evolve 3D has a shaft with a new type of hexagon joint that makes it almost invisible that the paddle is split. This is the split SUP paddle that feels like it is balanced like a fixed paddle. This gives you a very comfortable and energy-saving swing from take-out to insertion.

The Kona Evolve 3D blade has a rectangular shape that we have found suits inflatable SUP boards best. This gives you a smooth power transfer throughout the entire driving phase of the paddle stroke, thereby making the inflatable paddle board glide better.

The smaller Evolve models have a pronounced back that provides an effective but soft grip in the water for those who want to maintain a slightly higher frequency, while the larger blades are cupped for a more distinct grip. Excellent for those who prefer to paddle with high power over high frequency.
