A training SUP for new challenges
With Kona Ocean Model 2, you get through all the challenging waters that SUP paddling can involve. Everything from changing winds to breaking waves in shallow, hot, current, and broken water - all the conditions that normally lead to reduced stability, resistance and speed.
Well-balanced combination board
Kona Ocean Model 2 is a combination board for you who only want to own one SUP board but have the opportunity to paddle in varying conditions. Everything from still to the most challenging waters.
DW - Downwind
Are you also looking for a SUP board for DW paddling, (downwind paddling) then this is the board for you. The Ocean Model 2 is made to connect bumps and shoots away in the waves in a way that few boards can. With an Ocean Model 2, you will be able to handle all types of winds and waves and achieve completely new speeds.
Maximum performance for the elite as an exerciser
The fact that Kona Ocean Model 2 is optimized for maximum performance does not only mean that it is suitable for elite paddlers and competition. If you want a SUP board to develop with regardless of level, this board is also something for you!
Design criteria for Kona Ocean Model 2
Balanced volume – The volume of the board is balanced to provide increased buoyancy for paddling in hot, shallow and broken water. And to prevent the bow from diving into tougher seas. The volume in the tail provides stability when turning and when surfing. This makes it easier to catch waves.
Well-thought-out bottom curvature – The bottom of the board goes from round to V-bottom for an optimized sliding ability in varying conditions. It also makes the SUP board easy to maneuver and handle in turns. A marked bottom curvature in the bow makes it easier for the board to slide through the wave valleys and over waves.
Edges for maneuverability – The edges of the board go from rounded in the bow over to sharp edges in the tail. Round edges in the bow simplify the maneuvering of the SUP board in side waves and when drafting. The sharp edges in the tail make it easier to steer the board in downwind and waves.
Perforated deck pad – The deck pad hole pattern provides good footing and control over the board while reducing the board's total weight.
- Unique design – for maximum speed and maneuverability in rougher lakes and dynamic water
- Durable and lightweight composite materials – guarantee for sustainable use
- Stiff and extremely light construction – facilitates acceleration, handling and downwind paddling
- Extremely low standing area – Stability for performance ™
- Raised side walls – minimizes flooding
- Efficient drainage – no rippling water around the feet
- Balanced placement of the fen box – facilitates steering and maneuvering in waves
